My Daytime Usual

September 29, 2018

A floral dress instantly brightens up my day and it’s pretty much a closet staple. More so, there is so much freshness in them, it almost immediately lifts my mood. They are perfect for running day time errands and I am absolutely comfortable in them. Honestly, I have a fetish for fun and flirty floral dresses and I keep updating my wardrobe with new pieces. Wearing a dress is a lot less hassling as you only have to pair it with the right footwear and the right bag, a dash of accessories and you are good to go. Though a floral dress is usually associated with spring and summer, the Mumbai weather can easily make it a round the year kinda thing.

There is something about this Free People dress and I have worn it so many times already. I had ordered it online through Revolve.com. Looked even better after wearing than how it did online. And I did promise more Free People dresses remember? I was keen on making it blog worthy too instead of letting it lurk in the closet only to be pulled out for just jetting out of the house to run my weekend errands. Its pure linen, back-less and really, really lose. Wearing a lace bandeau top is a must with such a dress. I also love to layer my floral dresses with a plain cardigan. Just gives me a feeling of more cuteness and youth. This lemon yellow clashes perfectly with the green florals and gives such eclectic feel to the outfit. To add an extra style factor and to make the look more fun and interesting, I thought I’ll make the add-ons also noteworthy. A perfect fringed bucket bag and these sturdy Nasty Gal boots added that extra flair to this pretty little dress.

Oh how much I love my Nasty Gal boots. Fell in love with them the minute I spotted them on the site. I just knew I had to take it. Look closely and it feels so unique with a zip closure as well as a lace up. I could wear it again and again as it is so comfortable and practically goes with anything.

This look describes the usual me perfectly. It is nothing fancy but somehow embraces the joy of feeling presentable even without taking too much effort. Just love it for the girlish charm that it brings about with such simplicity. And the awesome feeling of making a style statement even on a sidewalk on an ordinary day!

I am wearing-

Free People dress; Forever 21 cardigan; Only black bandeau top; Nasty Gal boots; Steve Madden bag;  Zara earrings; Miss  Flurrty bracelets
