Get A Reality Check Red Pinafore Skirt

August 11, 2019

I can say I am a pro at online shopping and it has been a very fascinating journey with so many international online retailers having become so accessible. My experience has been an ecstatic one and I can swear by many of them. There is however one Indian label that I can’t get enough of. Its Lulu & Sky! I have been regularly making purchases for the last two years and I haven’t had one adverse experience. Quick delivery, irresistible discounts and those styles, those styles truly… The best part is, the website is flooded with new stuff all the time. But I feel that the thing that truly makes this Indian label stand out is the quality of its products. The fabrics are outstanding and the same goes with the material used for the shoes, bags and accessories. Everything has been long lasting. You could do a head-to- toe Lulu & Sky with such ease. I relate to it mostly coz I love to dress young. How much can I resist a strappy pinafore skirt or a skirt with suspenders? They always have them! For me, the #dontdressyourage truly resonates with Lulu & Sky!

The pinafore skirt – The fact that the trend has been strong has very little to do with my love for all things cute and childlike. As far as clothing is concerned, I doubt I will grow up any time soon. Apart from the statement plaid pinafore skirt combined with a ruched top, I am creating a cocktail of playfulness with the sheer stockings, hair band and derby shoes.

I think I did give a little grown-up touch to my pinafore skirt with a ruched shirt to cozy up the look and also lend a mature spin to it. It totally transformed the look. Choosing a pair of derby shoes with sheer stockings kept the whole young girly thing going. Derby shoes are classic and a very apt companion to plaid. The accessories really matter so I am opting for a large tote with silver studs. Definitely louder and unexpected with this outfit but totally cool. Rarely go for any hair accessory but this one with a little sparkle was a good start. I finished up the look with simple black studs and a wrist watch. The overall look indeed has a very fall like appeal. But I just couldn’t resist styling this one. Felt like a young teen in no time!

I am wearing-

Lulu & Sky skirt; Zara shoes; Topshop bag; Pieces ear studs; Giordano watch; Accessorize hair band
