Girly perfection doesn’t come any cuter than with a perfect gingham dress. The contrasting checks have increasingly become a summer style. This Forever 21 dress, also my soon-to-be summer favourite, is a comfortable cotton style with tie up straps and smocking on the bust that is so form fitting and flattering. With a bold check throughout, the fit and flare dress indeed stands out as a summer staple. Gingham, is certainly a trend with history. From its evolution in the 50s and 60s to even successfully making a wave in the present times. Courtesy brands such as Urban Outfitters, Asos and Forever 21 and many others that have fueled its popularity in the recent times.
With a solid colour contrast within the dress, I have opted for a very minimalistic look. The contrasting checks do all the talking. This is a dainty look that also successfully makes way for an understated elegance. I have paired the dress with a pair of comfortable sneakers to add an element of casual chic to the look. I love to go easy on jewelry so simply going for a single strand bracelet. Also, perfectly blending the characteristics of minimalism in yet another stroke is this mini satchel. I was very clear I wanted to keep the look simple so that it doesn’t scream for attention. I am thinking a coffee date! What say?
