Nothing says 90s fashion quite like grunge. Plaid being the key element of the 90s grunge is well settled. Yet another ode to my favourite decade with this chic Urban Outfitters plaid dress with a swingy fit and flare. Such an effortless look and I felt that I was reborn with this rebellious style yet leaning towards my usual traditional feminine. However, after completing the look, grunge did not seem like the underlying theme. Reason, I opted for a lighter appearance in the form of a swingy silhouette that adds a personal flair. While the grunge aesthetic of the 90s would seem synonymous to many with something rustic and rugged, the recent comeback seems more about simplification and acceptability, like sweet yet edgy. Either way, I was heading to a concert and I felt confident about my choice of the outfit. My recreation involved adding a trendy belt and these craggy knee-high brown boots that infuse a dash of rigour to any outfit. In any case, I like my footwear to be big and bulky with any plaid. Glad to be strapped with a power belt that not just instantly accentuates the waistline, but is also a perfect outline to the fit and flair. I have complemented the look with rose patterned tights, a statement handbag, earrings and just a watch. More power to the 90s fashion.
