I am so excited to finally fill up this space on Sue’s Project! If you have ever followed me on my blog www.sueincloset.blogspot.in, you would know how I love hitting a fashion note starting with summer coz I simply love summer clothes. Since we are already in June, I am gonna post my summer favorite on Sue’s Project without any further delay.
Summer always motivates me to style myself just the way I want. And like always, there are certain summer staples I can never get enough of. Like the short strappy sun dress. Happy to introduce this very aptly named ‘Under the Midnight Sun Dress’ from Tobi.com. Before this dress even arrived at the reception of my office, I had already made several mental notes of how I was gonna wear it. Felt ecstatic when I held it the first time and I can always swear by the softness of the Tobi fabric. Since I am more of a day dresser, I devised ways to wear it during the day but honestly just like its name suggests this dress can almost seamlessly slip into an evening or a night mode without much effort. This baby is not just incredibly figure flattering but also really easy to style at the same time. And girls, what’s a summer without a sun dress?? So time for some high hemlines and swingy silhouettes!
But this look isn’t just about a sun dress. It’s about the massive crush that I have been having on anything that is navy blue. And also, for the first time I am going sporty with a white watch, sneakers and a star printed cotton bag-pack. As far as the add-ons are concerned, I just need an excuse to wear less jewelry! So for this look, I decided to go minimalistic for maximum impact.
I love pairing sneakers with dresses and I have been doing that very often. It’s a very refreshing feeling for me coz I have never been a ‘jeans and a t-shirt girl’ so I never really got to wear them. And now that fashion is only evolving with no hard and fast rules, I think I am skillfully using this trend of pairing sneakers with dresses to my advantage. Needless to say that nothing ever beats the comfort of sneakers right from the fabric to the fit.
I love my bag–pack too which also has been a massive trend lately. It’s very light weight and spacious besides all other advantages that a bag-pack offers. Honestly, the last time I carried a bag pack, I was in school. Carrying this one against the navy blue backdrop makes the white stars pop out and almost come to life making the whole outfit so eye-catching.
So for the warm weather gal that I am, this look shall be my companion for all my day time adventures for the coming days. Have a wonderful week ahead!
